TURNING YESTERDAY\'S TECHNOLOGY INTO TODAY\'S WEAPONS

The Advanced Materials Research and Development (AMRAD) is a major Ammatar Mandate defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and Consumer Electronics. AMRAD is one of the galaxy\u2019s largest producer of guided missiles. Previously known as Four Horsemen Robotics and involved in Amarrian and Caldari special-mission starships until late YC118 and was purchased by The Luther Organization in YC119, adopting its present name at that time. The company has around 603,000 employees galaxy wide and annual revenues of approximately 25 billion Isk. More than 90% of AMRAD\'s revenues were obtained from military contracts and, as of the second quarter of YC119, it was the fifth-largest military contractor in the Cluster.

Overview
AMRAD provides Miniature Electronics, mission systems integration and other capabilities in the areas of sensing; effects; and command, control, communications and intelligence systems; as well as a broad range of mission support services.
AMRAD\'s electronics and defense-systems units produce ship-launched missiles, radar systems, weapons targeting systems, communication and battle-management systems, and satellite components.

Satellite sensors
AMRAD, often in conjunction with Omega Fullerene Reaction Services, R and R Interstellar or other corporations under The Luther Organization umbrella, is also heavily involved in the deep space sensor business.

HAZMAT Detection System
As part of the company\'s growing homeworld security business and strategic focus, AMRAD has teamed with other contractors to develop an Advance Spectroscopic Portal (ASP) to allow border officials to view and identify HAZMAT materials in ships as large as freighters and shipping containers more effectively.

Semiconductors
AMRAD also manufactures semiconductors for the electronics industry in sites in null security and low security space. This year it has produced a wide range of integrated circuits and other components, and its semiconductor business specializes in radio communications as well as D-Scan sensors. It is also making efforts to develop the Next-Gen D-Scan and Combat Scanner Probe.

Missile defense systems
In the framework of Ship-Based Defense, AMRAD is developing a Destroyer Based Defender Missile that includes a booster missile with a Kinetic Kill Vehicle (KKV), along with several key Magnetometric components, such as the Space-Based X-Band Ladar (SBXL) and the Upgraded Early Warning Gravimetric Sensor (UEWGS).
